The Altar Society prepares and hosts the Funeral dinners at the St. James Church. The main courses of the dinner are prepared by parishioners who come and work the day of the funeral. This involves setting tables, cooking the meat, potatoes and vegetables, setting the serving tables, serving the meals and clean up. Many hands help make this ministry be a wonderful comfort to the families and friends of the deceased. Parishioners are welcome to come and help with the meal or help by bringing a salad or desastre for the dinner.
